Confection-inspired mead, yes. It is totally different from all other meads, or at least, melomels. It is a kind of brand-new style, which can be independent of high acidity. Very well balanced and good alcohol hiding. The influence of tennessee bourbon barrels is proper, which matches very well with the base mead and Vermont maple syrup. Highly enjoyable. A must-try for sweet enthusiasts.
